When I go to install gcc 4.8 using:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gcc-4.8 g++-4.8
I get the error message:
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

gcc-4.8 : Depends: binutils (>= 2.23.90.20131017) but 2.23.52.20130913-0ubuntu1 is to be installed

And I've binutils at the newest version. How could I solve it?
Check your internet connection, go to software center->edit->sources->choose best server.
