MVC web app broken with a 504 Gateway Time-out

I've been supporting an MVC app for some time. I had to update the Newtonsoft.Json and Microsoft.CodeDom.Providers.DotNetCompiler and I'm now getting a 504 time out when on the live site. It works fine in localhost (hence deploying the updates). I've searched on here and it might be an IISExpress issue maybe. But any help/suggestions would be massively appreciated

Could it be my IIS or the maybe something with the DBConnection? Hope that's not a red herring?!? Looking forward to hearing from you experts
